About Women Cell :
The women cell is actively working in the college since 2009. The Women’s Cell at Acropolis Technical Campus will assist all women in achieving their full potential in education, career and personal life through academic and intellectual growth, professional development and personal empowerment. It has been created to organize activities pertaining to women’s issues originating from time to time in society and media and to involve women in the cell as active and alert participants. Objectives:
- Enhancing self-esteem and self-confidence of women students, faculty and staff in the college.
- To develop critical thinking ability of women.
- To foster decision-making ability and action through collective processes.
- To enable women to make informed choices in areas like education, employment and health.
- To enhance their participation on an equal footing in all areas.
Acropolis Technical Campus, Indore organized a Women Awareness Program “Women Empowerment“. Ms. Snehlata Upadhyay, Member State Women Commission, Madhya Pradesh was the Chief Guest. She spoke about various, schemes and programmes of State Women Commission run by the government to strengthen women. She discussed various issues like gender mainstreaming, female trafficking was discussed through anecdotes and the programme highlighted the women’s rights and their development. She appreciated the efforts of the Fast Track Courts and suggested that in case of any problem women should raise voice against atrocity and complaint to the State Women Commission. Students had performed an act of mime depicting journey of a woman right from the birth. Dr. S.C. Sharma, Director Spoke about women cell. Prof. Rashmi Yadav, Convener, elaborated the various activities conducted by the Women Cell. Prof. Priya Geete, Prof. Megha Motta and Prof. Meeta Dave had contributed exuberantly for the accomplishment of the programme.
“Ponds Brainy Panashe Comeptition”
“The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched – they must be felt with the heart.”Considering these words of Helen Keller Hindustan Unilever Ponds Personality Grooming Session” and “Ponds Brainy Panashe Competition- ” were held on 10 April,2014 at 1.10 pm in the Auditorium of Acropolis Technical Campus,Indore. This event was organized by Prof. Rashmi Yadav (Convener, Women Cell). The session began with an inspiring movie in which the protagonist works on to groom her personality, and then only she was able to get success. This movie highlighted the significance of a good personality and also bestowed knowledge for the same.In addition, the sponsors imparted training that is necessary to groom one’s personality. Finally, the session ended with a beauty pageant named Panache. Miss Priya Sharma,Miss Shiny Wadge and Miss Ojaswita Pathak won this contest.This programme was actively coordinated by Prof. Meeta Dave, Prof. Priyanka Yadav and Prof. Shahzadee N Khan.
“Women Issues Rights & Development”
Acropolis Technical Campus Indore Organized a Seminar on “Women Issues Rights and Development “. Dr. P. Krishnamoorthy Regional Director, NIPCCD under the Ministry of Women and Child Development, was the chief guest and Mr. S.G. Gungur Assistant Director, NIPCCD was the special guest Dr. Krishnamoorthy an erudite personality spoke about various schemes and programmes run by the government. NIPCCD is devoted for the promotion of voluntary action research, training and documentation in the overall domain of women and child development. Mr. S. G. Gungur discussed various issues like gender mainstreaming, female trafficking and female faciticide and highlighted women Rights and development of women. Dr. S.C. Sharma, Director Acropolis Technical Campus, elaborated the various activities conducted by women cell. Dr B.M. Singhi Director academics and all the members of women cell also witnessed the program. It was conducted by Prof Shahzadee khan, Prof. Rashmi Yadav convener Acropolis women cell proposed the vote of thanks.

“How Technology Can Advance Women Self Reliant”
Women Cell of Acropolis Technical Campus organized a seminar on 25th September 2013 on “How Technology Can Advance Women Self Reliant”. The session began with an introduction of the cell by the Convener, Prof. Rashmi Yadav followed by a seminar. It covers that technology is essential to women’s advancement and further explained different ways to put the process in action. The Seminar elucidate various aspects in which certain types of technologies enable women to develop their potential, to become successful leaders and can contribute to their families, society and nation efficiently. Finally a discussion held on “How different technologies can help women to increase their efficiency as well as to motivate entrepreneurial ventures”.
India today is at the cusp of a paradigm change in its growth and its position in the world. “Women empowerment refers to increasing the spiritual, political, social or economic strength of women. It often involves the empowered developing confidence in their own capacities”. In the links of expansion Acropolis Technical Campus on 5th November held a seminar on Women empowerment. Women Cell has become a strong section conducting various activities at various times. It is committed to spread women’s education and complete awareness of the rights and duties. It is also resolute to enhance understanding of issues related to women and to make the college campus a safe place for women students. A.S. P. Anjana Tiwari was the chief guest of the seminar. All the female professors and students were active participators. After the lamp enlightenment and Sharda prayer Director Dr. S C Sharma expressed views on Women Potentials and their contribution in the societal elevation. According to Dr. SharmaWomen strengthening has become so desirous that the schools and colleges must give it the stage and right bearing. Ms. Rashmi Yadav spoke many things about women upliftment. A.S.P. Anjana Tiwari shared experience and some legal information. Dr. Abha Khadke, The took the privilege of expressing vote of thanks at the ending of the seminar. All the girl students were happy after having wondrous addition not only into their understanding but also in courage. It is more important to create a general awareness’ and understanding of the problems of women’s employment in all the top policy and decision making and executive personnel. The best way to do so is to educate the children, orient the teachers, examine the text books and teaching-aids and ensure that the next generation grows up with new thinking. Aiming at intellectual and social upliftment of the female, the Acropolis Women cell stands for facilitating women’s empowerment through guest lectures, seminars, awareness programmes and other welfare activities.
