MODEL MAKING competition “Future Technocrats” was organized for the first year students on April 25, 2016. Students of all branches made working projects on various ‘Engineering Principles’- from hydraulics to mechanics and electronics to optics. More than 15 teams participated and showcased their talents. All the participants came up with amazing ideas, imaginations and successfully made models like The Swing Bridge with Working Society, Solenoid Engine etc.
Mr. Gaurav Sojatia (Chairman), Dr. Ashok Kumat (Vice Chairman), Prof. M. K. Dubey (Vice Chairman), Prof Ashok Kumar Pandey (Additional Director), Dr S C Sharma (Director), Prof. Rajeev Deshpande, Head ASH Dept. and the Heads and professors of various departments scrutinized and appreciated the efforts. They also suggested some creative ways in which projects could be improvised. The event was successfully coordinated by Prof. Romil Kala, Prof. Ravi S Kumrawat, Prof. Vinita Sisodiya, Prof. Rashmi Mishra, Prof. Shahzadee Khan, Prof. Jitendra Chouhan, Prof. Deepshikha Yadav, Prof Trupti Rathore and Prof Sushila Sahu. Students got great practical exposure while building these models and learned the concept of teamwork. This competition ignited the engineering creativity among all the budding engineers. In this, Gauri Shankar Seksaria and his group was declared winner for their pioneering model ‘Artificial Smart Gardening’. The model of ‘Solenoid Engine’ secured second position and the model of ‘Water Bottle Rocket’ pocketed the third prize.
